Ground Truth Prints: Made from the Land Itself Accented with homemade pigments, these are printed reproductions of my field sketches with original painted details. The watercolors are made from rocks of the geologic formation that created the feature in the drawing. Each painting is one of a kind, with a piece of the land incorporated into the work.

These pen and ink drawings document landscapes encountered during ecological field research, outdoor education courses, and geological study. Each piece is created on-site (plein air) as both artistic practice and scientific observation. The work explores how ecological processes shape the landscapes we see today, connecting deep time to present experience.
